He's not KKKorey Patterson, but Juan Pierre's not much better, either, posting only a .326 OBP last year. Jim Hendry doesn't seem to understand the importance of having the leadoff batter get on base; at least he's on the right side of 30. They could have signed Kenny Lofton again.
