Weaver at the plate in the 11th inning. Were extra innings necessary? No, but the teams wanted to work their pitchers anyway. After playing shortstop, Weaver came on to bat. Naturally enough, he struck out (swinging), but not before arguing balls and strikes with the umpire, to great comic effect.
