Freshman Vance Worley came within two outs of a five-inning no-hitter in a very impressive debut game. Rich Lederer, who I met in the stands later in the day, told me that the Dirtbags have won most or all of their pro/am exhibition faceoffs, and it's not surprising: the college kids have been practicing, while the pros haven't.
