A couple Giants fans and an Astros fan in team colors await players drafted into their respective organizations (RHP John Bowker and INF Todd Jennings for the Giants, and major league reliever Mike Gallo for the Astros). Drafted in the second round, Jennings was a highly thought-of catching prospect three years ago in the Giants system, but he was moved to third base, and had an awful, injury-plagued 2004. He repeated single-A for the third consecutive year in 2005 and is probably no longer considered a prospect.

Bowker is in a similar boat -- he hit well for the Beach, had a good debut in 2004, but failed to impress in 2005. He needs to start hitting with authority to regain his status according to John Manuel in Baseball America.
