Cha-Seung Baek was signed as an amateur out of Korea; his first trip to the show in 2004 wasn't so successful, but his second tour in 2006 was much better, with a 3.67 ERA over six starts, and a 4-1 record. He was supposed to be a fourth-or-fifth starter, but that was before the M's signed Jeff Weaver. He's been optioned back to AAA Tacoma, but he'll likely return during the year as the first piece of pitching depth to be recalled.
