Boxberger tried to pick off Jason Tweedy on second, and Grant Green let the ball squirt out of his glove. 3B Tweedy is a transfer from Ohlone JC in Newark, CA, where he earned all-conference honors; this is the first season he's been able to play with the Dirtbags because of an ankle injury. Green, a shortstop, is considered one of the nation's top freshmen, earning All-CIF with Canyon High in Anaheim.
