In the second inning, Jeff Conine flied out to Vlad, who fired a one-hop bullet back to the plate. Javy Lopez, who runs like a catcher because he is one, tagged and came home, but was called out because Mike Napoli blocked the plate. The collision staggered Napoli for a bit, and here Ned Bergert (I think) talks to him for a bit while he recovers. Rich and I were surprised when Mike Scioscia pulled Garret Anderson in favor of Tommy Murphy — presumably, to rest him — but left the suddenly heavily-used Napoli in the game.
