Randy Wells doesn't appear in the BA book at all, but he's assiduously risen through the Cubs' ranks like clockwork. Like Troy Percival, he's a converted catcher; after weak numbers in a full year at Lansing, he took the Florida State League by storm, posting a 2.74 ERA and a 10-2 record, on the strength of a 9.67 K/9. He'll probably start at AA West Tennesee if his results here were any indication.
