It takes a worried man: Bill Bavasi enters the park by way of the right field ramp. A terrible picture, but the best of the ones I got; I didn't have the right lens on my camera at the time.
You have to believe Bavasi's getting worried about his situation as Mariners' GM; he hasn't fielded a winner yet. On the other hand, the team has had mixed results from its player trades and signings: Beltre at the price IMO amounts to one, and Jeremy Reed acquisition wasn't a bad one, Freddy Garcia's trade was a wash, and unloading Randy Winn for anything of value amounted to a coup. The farm system is still in the game's middle-to-lower tiers, and outside of Felix Hernandez (and maybe Jeff Clement) lacking any obvious impact talent. My guess is that he'll be let go after his contract expires this year.
