There's a reason why position players don't pitch in the show, and this game was something of an example in that. Schroeder gave up an immediate double to pinch-hitter Edgar Sedano, and Kip Masuda ended up driving him home. He only got out of the eighth after loading up the bases and extracting a groundball out to third, which the third baseman managed to field cleanly.
